Janna has always felt that bodies in motion are more content and that external movement can be a catalyst for internal changes. She was first introduced to yoga in 2004 when her sweet sister introduced her to chanting and meditation. This, coupled with her desire to create and maintain joint health now and later in life, led her to asana practice in 2006. In 2011, she had the life changing fortune of studying Ahimsa and Tibetan culture with Geshe Thupten Dorjee in Fayetteville, AR. This experience compelled her to originate her own regular home practice. Over time, yoga has become her “user’s manual” for life. In 2013, she began a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Norman, OK with Andrew Eppler at the Ashtanga Yoga Studio. She loves how the metronome of Ashtanga vinyasa becomes an internal cleansing process. She has also studied prenatal yoga, apprenticing under the lovely Celeste McNeal Wood. In addition to teaching yoga, she works as a performer and teaches Musical Theatre, Acting, Dance, and Martial Arts in the Tulsa area.
