Cassidy Pierce

Cassidy has been practicing yoga for 8 years and completed her RYT 200 hour training through I AM Yoga in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She grew up in Northern California and has spent the last eight years in Colorado, receiving her degree in Ceramics and Art Therapy. Throughout her life she’s always been passionate about getting out on the trails and running as her own form therapy. She was a backpacking guide for multiple summers and loves to run ultra marathon races. But after completing multiple races, her body began to feel the repercussions and she knew she needed to find a space that incorporated more intentional movements and flexibility. That’s when she began practicing yoga. Since then she’s been passionate about finding spaces that can reconnect us with those things we may feel most disconnected from - whether that be ourselves, the people around us, or the earth we live on. She has found this through pottery, running, and now yoga. She wants to spend her life cultivating spaces where people can reconnect - whatever that looks like for you.

Cassidy primarily teaches medium to power Vinyasa Yoga, focusing on linking the breath to movement in sequences that help strengthen and stretch the body. She likes to incorporate more dynamic movements at the beginning and static holds at the end of her class. In doing this it helps ease the body and the mind into each pose, as opposed to trying to “perfect” the posture right away. She focuses on creating strategic vinyasa flows to work and prepare the body for a peak pose or poses. Although yoga is a powerful thing, she doesn’t believe you have to take yourself too seriously on the mat (or in life for that matter). There’s always enough room for laughter, for mistakes, and for anyone to walk into a yoga class and feel safe and welcomed.

If you see her in the grocery store, on the trail, or in a coffee shop please say hi! Some of her most favorite things in this world are pasta, cooking, feeding people and a busy kitchen table, playing with clay, being on a trail, and porousing aimlessly through the olive oil section in the grocery store.
