Hi! My name is Katy Knowlton. I have been practicing yoga consistently for over 10 years and began teaching in 2020. Like most students, I began yoga primarily as a way to exercise and increase flexibility, but over the years have been exploring the myriad aspects of the practice and their relation to my life off of the mat. No longer just a workout, I lean on yoga for its spirituality, its mental health aspects and its strong emphasis on breath and central nervous system control. I feel that position, transition, breath, movement & strength should all be in balance for a well-rounded practice. Most importantly, I am still learning and plan on never being finished learning.
